I help electrical contractors see their numbers clearly, understand meaningful benchmarks for their business, and create forecasted scenarios to game out different operational changes before they're made, so each decision comes with confidence.
I spent 15+ years in corporate accounting, working my way up from an individual contributor to Accounts Receivable Manager, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, and eventually a Controller-level role.
In 2021, I started doing the books for a few friends and family members who owned small businesses. I enjoyed it enough that I kept accepting more customers, and my client list kept growing.
But the more businesses I worked with, the more I noticed the same problem: out-of-the-box financial reports weren't actually helping anyone make better decisions. Owners were getting numbers, and they could file their taxes, but they were almost disinterested in going over the accounting itself. It wasn't giving them anything to act on.
"That changed when I started working closely with an electrical contractor client."
We set up monthly strategy sessions and rebuilt his reporting from the ground up based on some deep study I had done from the greats in my industry, then we could finally see the trends. This information sparked valuable conversation during our finance strategy sessions. This client is steadily growing both revenue and profit while maintaining a very healthy bank balance. My client became genuinely enthusiastic to meet each month, and that showed me exactly the kind of impact I wanted to have.
After working across a handful of industries, I made the call to specialize. Electrical contractors earning $40K–$400K in monthly revenue often outgrow basic bookkeeping. Once accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other cash timing become more complex, the intuition that used to work for keeping a pulse on cash stops being enough, cash flow starts to feel unpredictable, and basic financial reporting leaves out too much of the story. I knew I could help.
By specializing in work with electrical business owners, I'm building this firm deliberately, intentionally working with a small but mighty team so we can go deep with each client. My goal is to grow toward supporting more contractors the same way, without ever losing the level of attention that makes the work actually valuable.
Contractors don't need another bookkeeper or accountant who just sends reports and disappears. They need someone who can provide a frame and a true picture, so they can make informed decisions and get results, so they can make payroll with less stress and compensate themselves well. They've earned it.
If you've been carrying the burden of the business finances and it's grown heavy on you lately, what if that could turn around? I've seen the change in outlook firsthand as I've worked with my clients.
And not to worry, if you love your bookkeeper, you can keep them. We're able to layer financial strategy and insight on top of the foundational work they do where it makes sense. We're team players who work well alongside our clients' bookkeepers and tax accountants, not in competition with them.
